Energy Policy

WB Alloys is committed to the responsible and sustainable management of energy, recognizing that energy efficiency is integral to our operational success, cost-effectiveness, and environmental responsibility. This Energy Policy outlines our approach to energy management in line with ISO 50001:2018 standards and aims to establish clear goals for improving energy performance across all business operations.

Commitment

At WB Alloys, we are dedicated to:

  1. Energy Efficiency Improvement
Continuously improving energy performance through measurable targets and actions aimed at reducing energy consumption and increasing operational efficiency.

  2. Compliance with Legal and Other Requirements
Ensuring compliance with all applicable national, regional, and local energy-related regulations, laws, and other relevant requirements. We will also meet or exceed any voluntary codes of practice and industry standards where applicable.

  3. Energy Management System (EnMS)
Implementing and maintaining an Energy Management System (EnMS) based on the ISO 50001 framework. The system will be integrated into our overall management system, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and consistent with the principles of continual improvement.

  4. Resource Efficiency and Waste Minimization
Promoting the efficient use of energy resources, minimizing energy waste, and encouraging innovation and best practices in energy use across all departments and operations.

  5. Employee Involvement and Awareness
Engaging and educating employees at all levels in the importance of energy management. We will ensure that staff are trained in energy-efficient practices and understand the role they play in achieving the organization’s energy goals.

  6. Setting Clear Energy Objectives
Establishing energy performance objectives, targets, and action plans that are aligned with our business priorities. These will be reviewed periodically and updated to reflect our progress and any changes in business direction or regulatory requirements.

  7. Energy Performance Monitoring and Review
Regularly monitoring, measuring, and analyzing energy performance to identify areas for improvement. Our performance will be tracked using key performance indicators (KPIs), and energy audits will be conducted as part of our continual improvement process.

  8. Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility
We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our energy consumption, including minimizing greenhouse gas emissions and exploring the use of renewable energy sources. This will contribute to our broader sustainability goals.

  9. Communication and Transparency
Ensuring open communication with stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, and customers, regarding our energy management practices and performance. We will report on progress in a transparent manner and share best practices across our network.

Objectives

  • Train 100% of staff on energy efficiency practices and involve them in energy-saving initiatives by mid-2025.

  • Decrease Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 15% within three years, compared to the baseline year of 2024.

  • Increase the use of renewable energy in operations to at least 30% of total energy consumption by the end of 2025.

  • Achieve a 10% reduction in energy consumption across all manufacturing processes and facilities by the end of the next financial year.

Responsibilities
The management team at WB Alloys is accountable for the implementation and success of this Energy Policy. All employees, contractors, and stakeholders are expected to support this policy through their actions and decisions related to energy use.

Review and Continuous Improvement
